Illinois WIC continues to serve participants | Community Spirit
JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - The Jackson County Health Department announced Wednesday that WIC participants will continue to receive full benefits from the program; however, beginning Wednesday WIC participants will only receive one month of food benefits at a time.
Any participant that has been issued more than one month of food benefits can and should continue to use those benefits without any change. WIC participants should continue to keep their WIC appointments and shop as usual.
The State of Illinois has received contingency funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture which enables them to maintain WIC services. The State WIC office has funding to cover all financial obligations and Illinois WIC vendors should continue to accept WIC checks from participants.
