Neighborhood Yard/Garage Sale Day Sept. 8 | Community Spirit

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - The Arbor District Neighborhood Association is planning a district-wide Yard/Garage Sale day and invites any and all neighbors to participate.

The Yard/Garage Sale Day will be Saturday, September 8 from 8 a.m. to noon. The event is open to any and all residents of the Arbor District, regardless of formal membership status. To see if your home is in the district, you can click here to visit the website.

The association says they will advertise the event, provide maps to different sales and put up the signs. Residents will host their own sale at their own home. They say neighbors are welcome to hold a multi-household sale and there is no cost to participate; you can keep what you earn.

For residents who feel they need "visible space" for their goods, Megan Garry at 808 W. Walnut has offered her front yard for use.
