Co-op grocery offers cookie, cupcake decorating class Oct. 27 | Community Spirit

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - The Neighborhood Co-op and Grocery will be hosting a class on how to decorate cookies and cakes for the holidays.
The class will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27. The cost for the two-hour class is $10 for owners and $15 for non-owners. The first child accompanied by a parent or guardian can attend free. After that, each additional child is $5. The class is recommended for children 8 or older.
Melissa Gibbs will teach you simple decorating tips and techniques to produce creative, fun and beautiful results.
"The class will focus on using simple tools and tricks to produce beautiful designs that are surprisingly easy to make," Gibbs said.
Gibbs brings pre-baked cupcakes and cookies to the class, along with cake boxes so you can safely haul your creations home.
