Carbondale Tourism Bureau hosts open house, meet and greet | Community Spirit
CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - The Carbondale Convention and Tourism Bureau will be hosting an open house and meet and greet Tuesday, February 12, at the CCTB Office.
The public is invited to meet the new staff face-to-face, provide suggestions for new tourism opportunities, and learn about efforts that CCTB has in store for 2013.
The CCTB is a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting Carbondale in an effort to stimulate the local economy through tourism. Recently, the Carbondale Tourism Bureau has hired a new Executive Director and Office Manager, both of which are Carbondale natives who have a passion for enhancing the community through tourism efforts. Since their hire, the staff has worked to redesign the Bureau’s website, www.cctb.org, generate new advertising ventures, reach out into the community, and is in the process of launching an entirely new brand.
The event will be begin at 4 p.m. and continues until 7 p.m. at the CCTB office, located at 815 S. Illinois Ave. Saluki Plaza, Carbondale, Ill.
Executive Director Cinnamon Wheeles-Smith and Office Manager Leah Stover will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about tourism in Carbondale. Appetizers and refreshments will be served.
The CCTB Staff is enthusiastic about 2013 and looks forward to meeting you. They say feel free to contact the office with any questions you may have, and they encourage you to stop by. Our doors are open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
