MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) - The 4th Annual Cabin Fever Show will be Saturday, February 23 at the Historic Liberty Theater in downtown Murphysboro.

This year’s featured artists include:

Wil Maring & Robert Bowlin - Award-winning singer-songwriter Wil Maring and world-class guitarist and fiddler Robert Bowlin combine their talents, smoothly blending elements from all roots music genres to create an original acoustic music all their own.

Carter & Connelly-with friends - Curt Carter and Tom Connelly have been called “Illinois’ Preeminent Folk Warriors”.Performing together since 1988, their music has seen a wide range of venues from live radio, club, coffeehouse and festival performances to political and environmental awareness benefits. For this year’s Cabin Fever Concert, the duo will be joined by their friends Mila Maring, Kelley Sims, Geoff Maring and Mark Stoffel.

The Swamp Tigers - Featuring Andrew Staff on guitar and vocals, Blake Bramlett on upright bass, and Zach Kemp on drums, they are a high-energy rockabilly group based in Southern Illinois. They have merged various styles of classic country, rockabilly, jump blues and surf music into a very cohesive, unique sound that everyone, both young and old can find a partner and dance to.

Tickets are $10 and the ticket office will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday, Feb. 18. You can buy tickets at the door the night of the Show. Early arrivals get best seating for the 7 p.m. show time.

Lighted lot parking is just steps away from the front door. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Historic Liberty Theater is now listed on the National Register of Historic Sites and offers everything from the best in bluegrass to classical presentations, community events, plays and rentals that include weddings and reunions. First opened in 1913 as the Tilford, the Liberty fell on hard times, closed, and was vacant. Today an all volunteer organization faces a never ending renovation program.
