Police: 20-year-old arrested for burglary after man catches the guy in his car | Crime
CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Carbondale Police arrested a 20-year-old man Saturday after a homeowner saw the man inside his car and reported the burglary.
Nathan A. Qualls, 20, of Makanda was arrested and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
According to police, on Saturday, June 23 at 7:45 a.m. they responded to the 600 block of East Campus Drive in reference to a report of a car burglary in progress.
The victim told police he looked outside and saw an unknown, white male inside his car. The victim says he went outside and held the suspect until officers arrived. Police identified the suspect as Qualls.
The police department says the investigation is ongoing.
