Murphysboro man arrested for driving with revoked license | Crime

MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) - A Murphysboro man was arrested Tuesday for driving with a revoked license.

Scott Paul Cooper, 40, was arrested for a felony charge of driving while license revoked.

On Tuesday, July 31 at about 2:46 p.m. Murphysboro police were alerted to a possible revoked driver by an off-duty officer.

According to the police department, the vehicle, driven by Cooper, was stopped on Walnut Street at Second Street for an equipment violation.

Police also found that he had an outstanding arrest warrant from Union County, Illinois for possession of a stolen motor vehicle. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail pending a court appearance.
