Murphysboro man cited for DUI after crash with semi | Crime
CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - A Murphysboro man has been cited for driving under the influence of drugs after police say he hit a semi-truck on East Main Street and McKinney Drive.
Trevor Murray, 34, was cited for driving under the influence of drugs, disobeying a traffic control device and no seat belt .
According to the Carbondale Police Department, they responded to the intersection of East Main Street and McKinney Drive on Sept. 4 at 11:20 p.m. Officers learned a car driven by Murray was eastbound on East Main when it hit a semi-truck driven by Richard Patton, 58 of Oakdale, which was northbound on McKinney preparing to turn westbound onto East Main Street.
Police said Murray was removed from his car by Jackson County Ambulance and was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The Illinois State Police assisted in the investigation into this incident.
