2 teens arrested in connection with Carbondale car burglaries

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Two Carbondale teens were arrested Saturday, October 20 in relation to a car burglary on the 400 block of South Wall Street.

Gregory G. Newell, 19, and Austin A. Wilson, 19, were charged with burglary to a motor vehicle. They were taken to the Jackson County Jail. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

According to Carbondale Police, the responded to South Wall Street to a report of a motor vehicle burglary in progress. When they arrived, they say they learned the suspects were seen entering a vehicle and stealing property at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
