Carbondale man arrested in connection with burglary | Crime
CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Carbondale police arrested a man for allegedly breaking into a home.
Jamel E. Travis, 31, was charged with residential burglary, damage to property and felony resisting arrest. He was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
On March 11 police responded to a home in the 400 block of South Washington Street in reference to a report of a home burglary in progress. Officers learned the victim returned to his home around 1:45 p.m. and found that someone had broke in.
Police say as the victim called in the report, the suspect, Travis, ran from the home. They were able to arrest him after a short foot chase.
