CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - The Annual Meeting and Potluck Dinner of the Southern Illinois Chapter of the United Nations Association will be Sunday, January 27, at 5:30 p.m. at the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship.
The fellowship is located at 105 North Parrish Lane, Carbondale.
The Keynote Speaker is Kimberly Prost, she is the Ombudsperson for the UN Security Council Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee.
The formal program will begin at about 7 p.m. after the dinner, the event is co-sponsored by the SIU School of Law and the SIU School of Social Work.
Kimberly Prost also has served as the Chief, Legal Advisory Section, within the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, an ad litem judge for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
