'Taste of Hope' returns to Murphysboro | Events

MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) - The Taste of Hope fundraiser will return to Murphysboro Tuesday, March 19 starting at 5 p.m.
The event is held annually as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
"This marks the fifth year for the restaurant sponsored event in and around the Murphysboro area," Pauley Mooney, event co-coordinator and ACS volunteer said in a press release. "We really appreciate the business owners that have agreed to participate and encourage everyone to help support this project."
Taste of Hope is designed to give residents the opportunity to dine out while local businesses donate 20% of their receipts that night toward the local Relay for Life.
The funds will be added to the Relay for Life dollars generated each year and will be used to finance cancer research, advocacy, prevention and educational efforts.
