Paducah man accused of Murphysboro gas station burglary | News
MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS)- A Paducah man is behind bars and accused of stealing money from a southern Illinois gas station.
Derrick Hayes, 34, of Paducah, Kentucky was arrested Friday and taken to the Jackson County Jail pending a court appearance.
The burglary happened on Wednesday shortly after midnight at the Citgo station at 602 Walnut Street in Murphysboro.
Police say they responded to the scene and found that a door had been forced open and someone had been inside.
The suspect took an undetermined amount of money and property from the store, according to police.
