CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS)- Two people face charges after an alleged altercation at a Carbondale business.
It happened on July 14 in the 500 block of South Illinois Avenue.
Police say James A. Smith and Ronald B. Jones, initiated an altercation with other patrons inside the establishment, with Smith injuring one patron.
Smith and Jones were then escorted outside of the business by employees.
While being escorted, police say Smith and Jones each hit the employees of the business, and Jones damaged property of one employee.
One victim was treated and released for a minor injury at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Police say Smith and Jones were both arrested and charged with aggravated battery. Smith was also charged with disorderly conduct, while Jones was also charged with criminal damage to property.
Both were taken to the Jackson County Jail.
