JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS)- According to the Jackson County Coroner's Office, autopsy results show two boys drowned in Carbondale over the weekend.
Deputies were called to a home on Dogwood Drive in Carbondale at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
When they arrived, they were told two brothers were found unresponsive at the bottom of an eight to 10 feet swimming pool.
Authorities identify the boys as 12-year-old Alick Jentrey Poindexter Monson, and 14-year-old Lewis Jecquary Monson.
The brothers are from Hopkinsville, Kentucky and were reportedly visiting friends.
An adult found the boys and pulled them out of the pool. He then called 911 and administered CPR.
Paramedics arrived and took the boys to a Carbondale hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says the case is being investigated as an accidental drowning.
Autopsies for the two boys are scheduled for Sunday.
Family members at the home say the boys were brought to Carbondale by their older brother.
They say the boys had just arrived Saturday from Kansas City and were planning to go home to Ky. on Sunday.
