ISP to conduct A.C.E. patrols in October | News

DU QUOIN, IL (KFVS)- Illinois State Police District 13 plans to combat impaired driving with Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement Patrols (A.C.E.) during the month of October.

The A.C.E. patrols will take place in Williamson and Jackson Counties in southern Illinois.

Troopers plan to target select areas with saturation patrols that they say prevent and detect violations connected to impaired driving, illegal transportation or consumption of alcohol and other drugs.

A.C.E. patrols are funded through a grant from the US Dept. of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The grant is administered through the Ill. Dept. of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
