'Lucky dog' rescued from manhole in Murphysboro | News
MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS)- A dog was rescued from a manhole Sunday and is considered lucky to be alive.
According to police, officers were called to the Big Muddy River Apartments shortly before 1 p.m. where a dog reportedly fell down the hole.
Apartment employees was able to get dog out before officers arrived.
No one was injured and the lid was secured by city employees.
The pet was returned to it's owner.
