SIU student accused of having firearm inside car | News
CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS)- A rifle was found inside an SIU student's car after being stopped by police on campus Sunday.
According to a media spokesperson, 21-year-old, Keenan Short was stopped by Carbondale police and was then arrested and brought to the Jackson County Jail.
Short later posted bond.
A media spokesman says Short has been banned from campus until he faces a disciplinary hearing Friday.
The spokesperson says there was no threat to students and no safety alerts from campus officials were sent out.
