Murphysboro man charged with cannabis possession, trespassing | News

A Murphysboro man has been charged with criminal trespass to real property, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they found him looking into neighborhood homes.

Josh Penrod, 46, of Murphysboro was charged by police with the crimes after he was found looking into homes and went into a garage, according to the Murphysboro Police Department.

Police say he was positively identified by witnesses's and was taken into custody.

Penrod was processed and released pending a court appearance, according to police.
